FAIRFIELD PET DETECTIVE

Who We Will Search For

How Much We Charge Where We Go What We Promise Who We Find

There are many animals that people consider as pets. The most common of course are dogs and cats. But there are also gerbils, rats, hamsters, snakes, other reptiles, spiders, chickens, bunnies, goats, and in some places, cows. The list is endless depending on what your definition of "pet" is.

We trained Fairfield in a specialized method called "match to sample" which basically means that if you give him a scent, he will find a matching scent. He has also been classically search trained on 5 common pet scents so far. Rabbit, chicken, ferret, cat and of course, dog. But even within these species, each individual has it's own unique variations of it's species scent.

Ferrets

Ferrets have an inquisitive and playful nature. They can learn to see humans as companions and form a strong bond with their owners. This makes them a popular pet choice because of their sociable and charming character.

Rabbits

Rabbits make great pets for children. However, they are fragile and young children should not handle them. They can accidentally cause injury picking the rabbit, by squeezing too tightly, or dropping them. Children should always be supervised when interacting with and, in the case of older children, handling rabbits.

Dogs

Dogs usually do come back if they run away. A dog doesn't run off because they are running away. At that moment, the urge to engage with something that has caught their attention just gets the better of them. A dog will come back so long as they don't get lost or have some kind of accident that prevents their return.

Chickens

Chickens are one of the most common and widespread domestic animals, with a total population of 23.7 billion as of 2018, up from more than 19 billion in 2011. There are more chickens in the world than any other bird.

Cats

Over the last four decades, the number of cats in the world has increased dramatically, according to recent studies. As of 2021, the number of owned cats in the world is estimated to be 220 million, while the number of stray cats is estimated to be 480 million.

Goats

Although they are traditionally thought of as farm animals, goats also make good pets. A perennial favorite in petting zoos, their curious and friendly nature makes them fun companions.
